The Sonoma Valley Education Foundation is continuing to work with DonorsChoose.org in order to fund classroom grants in the Sonoma Valley Unified School District. Classroom grant requests are now being accepted at www.donorschoose.org for funding by September 2009.

Follow the six easy steps on the PDF Document:

Important Tips for Successful Grant Applications:

  • Be sure to set your computer to allow pop ups when "shopping on-line" for your grant items
  • Write a catchy headline
  • Write a compelling story; write it like you're speaking to your "Aunt Rose."
  • If possible, keep monetary amounts lower, break up larger grants into smaller grants. Smaller grants are easier to fund.
  • Thank the donor immediately!  Once you receive notification of funding for your grant, write the follow up email thank you and once you receive the items, send the final thank you kit promptly
